Quartz Screed Pool surround
A 300m² pool surround in Quartz Screed installed in Slate colour blend supplied by SIDEC. In addition, we installed 74lm of coving in the same colour.
This was a 10 day installation, with a non-negotiable handover date before the first day of term.
Our preparation work included uplifting tiles where required and diamond grinding any remaining bonded tiles. We then installed 104m of 100mm internal drainage channel, along with new skimmers and deck boxes. Once this work was completed, we applied an epoxy DPM and mesh system to further consolidate the subbase.
The installation of the Quartz Screed itself took 2 days. We allowed a further 2 days to apply 2 coats of an epoxy thixotropic porefiller, to ensure the surface is completely non-porous. This was followed by a PU matt seal coat. We had 1 day of contingency to deal with anything unexpected.
