RubbaFlex®fg Pool Surround
A 180m² domestic pool surround installed in Catalonia colour blend supplied by Gezolan.
This project offered a cost-effective solution to provide a new pool surround over the existing and dated crazy paving, which was in good condition to install on.
Our RubbaFlex®fg system is made from high quality EPDM rubber granules and UV stable (aliphatic) binder supplied by Stockmeier. It is a hard-wearing system that is suitably flexible to tolerate some potential movement in the subbase.
For this installation, the existing slab was inspected and any areas of potential weakness identified, broken out and replaced with resin bound stone and an SRM (structural reinforcement mesh). The surface was then diamond ground to clean and smooth off the slabs ready for the new surface. Once prepped and vacuumed thoroughly, the surface was primed ‘wet on wet’ as the RubbaFlex®fg was laid.
