PU or Polyurethane screeds are designed to withstand harsh commercial or industrial environments. Installed by hand troweling and generally at a depth of 6-9mm. Common uses include food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

PU Screed is specifically formulated to give excellent resistance to chemical loads or temperature variation. Normally applied to a concrete slab, we recommend preparation work should include
- Grinding the existing surface using diamond tooling to aid mechanical bond
- Basing out and infilling with epoxy mortar, if required
- Prime with a suitable primer to aid chemical bond
- Cut perimeter channels to create an anchorage point, to aid mechanical bond and effectively stop it curling at the edge when curing
- Installing scratch coat with broadcast of 0.8-1.2mm over all areas
Installation of topcoats is then undertaken. We offer this system in a range of colours.

Benefits of PU Screed:
- Excellent chemical resistance, including a wide range of organic and inorganic acids, alkalis, salts and solvents.
- Will perform and retain its physical characteristics from -40 degrees C to 140 degrees C
- Steam cleanable at 9mm
- Stronger than concrete
- VOC free
- Slip and abrasion resistant
- Fast curing

Our preferred materials supplier for PU Screed are;
